A practical phrase workflow

Six-character autotext codes connect to patient-facing explanations. The developed web tool supports autocomplete, search, and output with sections or numbering.

Coverage includes general comments, tumor markers, liver and kidney tests, urinalysis, lipids, thyroid tests, complete blood counts, antioxidant and heavy-metal testing, and C13 testing.

Development inventory

2,409entries after LIS comment integration

Founder-reported library inventory; not independently audited. This count does not imply that every entry is clinically approved.

In the founder-reported editorial review, 29 entries were corrected, 7 were added, and 6 remain pending physician judgment. These are editorial counts, not patient outcome or diagnostic performance data.

Result-to-comment support

Planned HIS result reading will support semi-automatic placement of panel comments. Planned Word integration will insert reviewed comments into exported reports.

Rules will continue to be adjusted to physician interpretation standards. These integrations are not presented as completed.

Review before release

  • Confirm the correct panel, units, reference interval, and clinical context.
  • Review each selected comment before report authorization.
  • Resolve pending phrases before using them in a default reporting workflow.
  • Maintain a versioned phrase library and a reversible editing process.

These safeguards are productization proposals, not claims of implemented HIS controls.

What remains to be established

The developed phrase tool has not established clinical accuracy, time savings, or improved patient understanding through evidence presented here. Local editing standards, institutional permissions, and the regulatory classification of the intended use require confirmation.

Research prototype. Not a cleared or approved medical device. Intended to assist, not replace, professional medical judgment.
